Let me see:
Mother does a drawing in GIMP.
Mother clicks "print"
Mother does not have a server, but a printer attached to it.
Mother does not care about "server".
Mother does have a server, but neither knows nor cares about it, since
it runs on the same machine as her client. No excuse not to do a good
architecture.
