(From gnome-print's point of view it's more of a utility library than a
back-end)

Not really, it has a general-purpose XML editing widget although it has extra
information beyond the DTD to display things "nicely" (e.g. it can use Bonobo
controls for displaying certain types of embedded content). I'm hoping to
support special-purpose controls where appropriate.
I wanted to use the gnome-print preview widget as a way to display xsl:fo,
though it looks like I'll have to write my own FO formatter to do that :-(
