Neither StarOffice nor Mozilla uses gnome-print. I've heard rumors of
someone working on porting Galeon to use gnome-print which sound very
promising as I'm getting patches for libgnomeprint to make it possible,
so Galeon might be soon (3-6 months).
I've thought more about your driver and believe that gnome-print might
not be the right level place to hook it up. We've moved away from
thinking that hooking drivers to gnome-print directly is the way to go.
You should probably write a OMNI or a ghostscript driver for it, that
gnome-print can use (as it does other drivers).
Now, it is also true that hooking directly to gnome-print has advantages
for configuration since GNOME is accessible, but it might still not be
the right place. Have you considered making a driver for OMNI-print?
