There is just too much information to provide for this. I would suggest
that you look through the code and then ask specific questions. It is
too much of a general question to be easily answered.

The short answer is that you install a XML file that describes the model
(see data/models) and another XML file for the printer (see
data/printers) and create a backend (see gnome-print-ps2,
gnome-print-rbuf, gnome-print-pdf, etc.)
