Yes - it'd be nice to do this centrally in some way so that we share
(re-)authentication / connection, and data caching in the central
daemon. If you notice - there is a prototype daemon on the 'daemon'
gnome-vfs branch, most useful for storing passwords - but essentially we
need a central cache, especially for making viewing any files (in
separate apps) performant.
