Ah well here was the oops:

<0>Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!
1 warning issued. Results may not be reliable.
And it was not in 2.4.23-pre5 it was in pre3 that it started to happend,
so try 2.4.23-pre2, se below:
Now I have tested kernel versions starting from 2.4.22 and the result is
as below:
2.4.22 = works ok!
2.4.22 plus 30_bttv-0.7.x-2.4.23-pre6.diff = works ok!
2.4.22-pre2 plus 30_bttv-0.7.x-2.4.23-pre6.diff = works ok!
2.4.22-pre3 plus 30_bttv-0.7.x-2.4.23-pre6.diff = NOT OK -> Oops!
So my conclusion is that something was changed between -pre2 and
-pre3 that made the kernel oops with the 30_bttv-0.7.x-2.4.23-pre6.diff
patch added.
Cheers Johnny
