Hi Misi,
The GM can find the codec!(don't wirte it out "Cannot find libavcodec
as required for RFC2190 H.263 video codec.") So i think it can use it.

H323 Added capability: H.261-CIF <18>
as can be clearly seen above there's no note of H263. This should not
be a problem in a perfect world, however there was an issue with that
in the past and i haven't checked if it's fixed yet.
As GM (as of now) does no longer support H263, i could even disable
the support for it, which i might do. Any comments, thoughts about why
it might be used anyway? Anybody?
Why ? It's not clear for me.
Do you realy want to only support H.261 video codec ?
I want to use H.263 because this is the only video codec that can conect
to our Polycom viewstation endpoint.
The H.261 codec in GM is not compatible with my Polycom endpoint, and MCU.
How to fix the problem? Just copy the libavcodec.so from
http://www.voxgratia.org/bin/libavcodec-0.4.7-linux.bin.tar.gz to the
path /usr/lib/pwlib or any folder below. That will make the message
disappear.
As i wrote before, I did it already!
I think you misunderstand me.
I used H.263 before the debian upgrade. So I have already the file in
/usr/lib/pwlib
It worked before, i upgraded my debian package.
If nobody has the same problem with H.263 then probably i have some
local problem.
Cheers,
Misi
