No. It shouldn't. The problem is you are using automake 1.8. It doesn't install mkinstalldirs any more, when it gets run, unless it already exists. However, there is no way to tell automake to copy it in regardless of whether or not it thinks you need it. I suggest you either use an older automake, or upgrade to the gnome-common in CVS HEAD, that has a workaround for this problem, by always copying the file in when the gettext stuff provided by glib and intltool, gets used. -- dobey
