I didn't find the time to do much more since I removed the V4L plugin ; 
I'll certainly need to reinstall it to do more serious tests.

For now I'm trying to understand :
1. why I can't register to gnomemeeting.net ;
2. why gnomemeeting doesn't really quit when asked too.

My favorite explanation for now is that the registering thread gets 
stuck, which would explain both at the same time.

Also getting my hand on older pwlib+opal packages would allow playing 
dichotomy.
