well, not so rational as far as the DHCP is concerned because it is a rather 
new phenomenon :-) 

I just managed to make a successful call from Gnomemeeting to an ordinary 
phone via my Asterisk installation. 

Then I tested the connection to the only free video SIP client I know of - 
Java SIO Communicator, just to discover that it only recieves QCIF and can't 
send anything that Gnomemeeting can display.  Any ideas to narrow down? 
(traces etc?) Any ideas for another (free) video SIP client to test with?
