For me in particular, I need the proxy to receive calls from pstn lines
for some reason with my voip provider. Without the proxy I can
only make outgoing calls. Strange, as I thought the outbound
proxy was for outbound calls, but I need it for inbound. Anyway
with it populated it interferes with my sipphone account (and I assume
any other account I would use). I realize it's too late for 2.00
but hopefully in the future. And I realize that it might take a
fair bit of gui redesign but I think it makes sense.
Btw, I requested a feature for twinklephone to be able to use the pc
speaker as a ringer for users who keep their headset plugged in and
dont have a second sound card. Instead he implemented a more
versatile option where a user can elect to run a script on
an incoming call. Might be worth implementing in the future.

That is a different issue. That can be solved by introducing "profiles"
support, with different preferences for each profile (like in
gnome-terminal).
