Looking a bit around with google i've found:

on that page you can read:
"HARDWARE SPECIFICATIONS
Video capture rate : Up to 25 frames per second/50 fields per
second (PAL)
Video capture and output resolution : Up to 768 x 576 YUV 4:2:2 "
so try this:
mplayer -tv
on:driver=v4l:norm=PAL:outfmt:YUY2:input=composite:device=/dev/video1
since my geforce seems to output in YUV422 also, and it works with
mplaya using yuy2 (man mplayer for other output formats)
if it works, gnomemeeting should work if you use:
gconftool-2 --set "/apps/gnomemeeting/devices/color_format" YUV422
--type=string
