This is a known problem, I'll try to help you to debug privately so that your experience can serve to other people. I don't know what can happen, but sometimes, you have to start another program before to open correctly the device, and it happens with some drivers only. I suspect a driver bug, but there must be a way to open differently in GM. le mar 26-02-2002 à 17:26, Felix Maibaum a écrit : > > Hi! > > I just recently found an old creative parrallel port webcam in my cupboard > and would like to use it with gnomemeeting. > it uses the cpia_pp driver and works alright with xawtv. > but when I start gnomemeeting it tells me that: > > Error while opening /dev/video0, channel 0. > a test image will be transmitted. > Your driver doesn't support the YUV420P format. > > but when I run xawtv before gnomemeeting it works fine. > this is quite inconvenient, because I would like to autostart gnomemeeting on > login, so I can answer to incoming calls. > can I (or anyone else here) do something about that? > > thanks > > Felix > _______________________________________________ > Gnomemeeting-list mailing list > Gnomemeeting-list gnome org > http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnomemeeting-list > > -- _ Damien Sandras (o- GnomeMeeting - H.323 Video-Conferencing application - //\ web: http://www.gnomemeeting.org/ v_/_ FOSDEM 2002 - Free Software and Open Source Developers Meeting - web: http://www.fosdem.org/
