Re: [GnomeMeeting-list] Video capture card as video source



Sorry for not being clear.  Yes, "does not recognize" means that there is no device in the selectable menu, and yes, I can use the Composite video source setting in xawtv to use the camera connected to the AIW card.  I did try running gnomemeeting as root, but it made no difference.  I changed the permissions on /dev/video* to 777, still nothing.

What do you mean by "Doesn't recognize" ?
Do you mean that the device is not in the selectables menu ?
In that case, try to check your permissions.
(run it as root, try to run with xawtv and see if swatv works and tell
us).
