hi rainer,
what version of openssl do you use ?
it seems that your version is outdated.
try to compile the latest version of openssl, or if you use a
distribution and don't want to break dependencies by compiling from
scratch, try to find if your distro doesn't provide more up-to-date
package of openssl.
