It is a problem in the OpenH323 library.
(and not with GM itself)

I get this problem with my black and white video camera.
And someone else on the OpenH323 mailing list reported they get it
with their USB camera.

The OpenH323 development team know about the problem
(ie Derek and myself) but if any one out there can find a fix, I'll be glad
to apply it to OpenH323.
