There are known problems with the Quickcam due to the driver itself.
Those problems will be fixed and disappear when the driver will be a bit
more mature, we can't do anything about it except asking their authors
to debug the driver itself.

Notice that the video device can't disappear by itself from the
preferences if you don't hit the Refresh button.
