Hey. I had the same problem with the "libstdc++.so.5(GLIBCPP_3.1)" message.
I use mandrake 8.2, so it might not work for you but it probably will.
I had installed pwlib and openh323 (the latest version cause if im not
mistaken gnomemeeting.org encourages you to use a new version of them) and
then i tried to run GnomeMeeting but i kept getting the libstdc++ message.
Then i opened the package manager in Mandrake and uninstalled pwlib1 and
openh323 and installed the ones that came with the Mandrake 8.2 and it
worked then!
i hope that it'll work for ya.
libstdc++.so.5(GLIBCPP_3.1) is needed by gnomemeeting-0.93-2mdk
Hi,
I'm having problems installing the gnomemeeting-0.93-2mdk.i586.rpm. It
fails with :
[root Hanah downloads]# rpm -ivh gnomemeeting-0.93-2mdk.i586.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
libstdc++.so.5(GLIBCPP_3.1) is needed by gnomemeeting-0.93-2mdk
I have libstc++.so.5 in /usr/lib not sure what the GLIBCPP_3.1 bit is
about, Is that related to this problem?
[root Hanah downloads]# ll /usr/lib | grep libstdc
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 452582 Jul 31 14:17
libstdc++-3-libc6.2-2-2.10.0.a

libstdc++.so.5.0.0*
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 778968 Aug 17 10:52 libstdc++.so.5.0.0*
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Ewan.
