Even if the stats window is closed, it updates it internally, so it
should segfault.

The problem is not with GM, but with the use of GTK 2.1, if you can
revert to snaps using stable GTK 2.0, GM 0.94 will work fine.
I think that upgrading your redhat to version 8.0 is the best to do...
