It depends on the other user and his knowledge of Linux. The problems
with GnomeMeeting are always the same :
	1) Users are using non full-duplex drivers -> Switch to ALSA
	2) They have a firewall that drop packets, or they are behind 	NAT and
didn't configure anything.

Problem 1) doesn't happen with distributions that are using ALSA like
Suse or optionally Mandrake. Problem 1) will be solved with kernel 2.6.

Anyway, you are now sure that the problem is not on your side.
