I am using headsets (with earphones that block outside noise). I have even
tried turning off the speakers on the sending side and turning off the
microphone on the receiving side. I still get the echo.
Any other ideas on where the echo could be coming from?

Hi,
normally only the microphone is too near to the speakers causing the
echo. Try to use headsets and you should be fine.
