Here I am again
I just (re)instaled RH8 again and as soon as the system booted I did :
[root peterpan GM]# rpm -Uvvih pwlib-1.4.7-3.i386.rpm openh323-1.11.2-3.i386.rpm
( I had installed, on system installation,GM-0.93, pwlib-1.3.3-5 and openh323-1.9.3-4 )
and the relevant part of the output is ...exactly the same :
error: Failed dependencies:
libcrypto.so.4 is needed by pwlib-1.4.7-3
libpthread.so.0(GLIBC_2.3.2) is needed by pwlib-1.4.7-3
libssl.so.4 is needed by pwlib-1.4.7-3
libcrypto.so.4 is needed by openh323-1.11.2-3
libssl.so.4 is needed by openh323-1.11.2-3
libstdc++.so.5(GLIBCPP_3.2.2) is needed by openh323-1.11.2-3
Any ideas ?
I'm not using Gnome, just KDE but it worked fine in previous version ( in fact 0.93 is
working right now ) .
I'm going to redownload the files ... just in case !

Let you know later ...
Thanks.

Im running on RH 8 and i have the same ssl packages as you and i had no
install issues just ran rpm -Uvh pwlib* openh323* and gnomemeeting* in
the directory i downloaded them to. I would recomend against using red
carpet when i tried it in the past the ximian packages broke alot of
redhat stuff.

This is probably for Alexander Larsson ...
I have a fresh install of RedHat 8 and KDE 3.0.3 ( just upgraded
available rpm updates
and upgrade to 2.4.20 kernel ) and I stil have conplaints about
dependencies for
pwlib and openh323.
I'm trying to install the rpm packages in the Red Hat section of
gnomemeeting.org .
Considering these are rpm and RH8 is the latest available version and I
have installed the latest updates I don't know what am I missing .
This is the output of the attempt to install the 3 packages by Ximian
RedCarpet ( it does the same using rpm on command line ) :
Installing pwlib-1.4.7-3[Local Packages]
Installing openh323-1.11.2-3[Local Packages]

I searched a little and :
libcrypto.so.4 and libssl.so.4 are only available from openssl-0.9.7-1
on, from RawHide
libstdc++.so.5(GLIBCPP_3.2.2) must be from libstdc++-3.2.2 wich I can't
find
libpthread.so.0(GLIBC_2.3.2) must be from glibc-2.3.2 and
glibc-debug-2.3.2 wich I can't find either .
There must be a simple explanation for this because I don't see any
postings from people using RH8 and not
being able to install it ( I don't believe there's no RH8 user using
Gnomemeeting 0.96 ! ).
Thank you .
