Yes.  Before Shawn released OphoneX, my brother tried to do the pwlib
and openh323 thing from Fink a couple of weeks ago in order to get
either ophone or simphone working.  One or the other (can't recall
which) died compiling.  And my non-techie bro wasn't in a position to do
any troubleshooting so he gave up rather quickly.  When OphoneX came out
this week, he jumped at it.  And so far, it's been quite successful.  So
as much as we would both like to get Gnomemeeting working for him, it's
quite likely not in the cards just yet.  But we'll both keep watching
for additional news.
