RE: [GnomeMeeting-list] terrible echo

well... after being given some suggestions (Thanks Damian!), I was able to
eliminate the echo.

in the configuration panel, under the Audio Device / Automatic Echo
Cancellation, I previously had "AGC" (and had tried "NO") - neither of these
resulted in cancelation of echo for the NetMeeting user I was talking to.
However, setting this to "Medium" did eliminate the echo for the Net Meeting
user. I also reduced the volume setting of the speaker/microphone from 100% to
about 80% in the control panel.
