Damien hasn't applied the firewire patches to gnomemeeting because they are 
too experimental anyway. You can safely use OhPhone from openh323.org though.

Agreed here. Please do report any compatibility issues, because at least I 
am personally interested. Private mail is OK.

What kind of a camera is yours anyway? Could you post a link?
