Ok,
It just happened again.
This time I had called someone from ils.seconix.com, was in a 4 way
call, tried to leave the session and clicked the "disconnect" button,
video froze with thier images stll present, although no movement of
images, then I tried to click the "upper right corner" of the window
manager to close the window. Would not close window. Tried
ctrl-alt-backspace to drop out of X, got out, but was still hearing
audio from the previous call. The cursor was hung, would not give me a
command prompt. I had another login from a remote computer just in case
it did it again. Issued a "shutdown -r now", it started a shutdown and
stopped at:
"Stopping periodic commands schedule cron_"
At this time I was still hearing audio.
This is where it hung, had to do a hard reboot.
I have read the replies and will try the suggestions to see if it can be
repeated.
Any other webcam drivers for my Quickcam Express USB camera tat I can
use or am I stuck with it till something better comes along?
