Hello,
I have installed two different versions of gnomemeeting on two
different laptops. Gnomemeeting versions 0.96.1 and 0.85.1. I connect
the laptops using a crossover cable (connected directly to each
other). I enable all available audio codecs, I can transmit
audio/video from one laptop to the other BUT there are many late
packets and the sound has an effect that could described as gaps or echo.
Check that there is no problem with the network cards or the cable.
What are your jitterbuffer settings in bouth GM versions?
What soundcards do you use and do you use OSS or ALSA drivers?
Do you think that using different gnomemeeting versions has anything
to do with it?
No, I have been using 0.96.1 <---> 0.85.1 with no problems. So the
different versions of GM
is not the problem.
Could you propose any reasons for this effect or any actions I could
take?
Thank you in advance
