Beautiful video from a great little cam!
The problem appears to have been solved by:
1) ignoring the suggestion on the Philips webcam web site regarding the
optimal location for the pwcx.o module;
2) placing that module (version 8.2.2) instead in
/lib/modules/2.4.20-4GB/kernel/drivers/usb/ and running 'depmod -a' once
there as root;
3) adding the following two lines to the /etc/modules.conf file--
post-install pwc /sbin/insmod --force
/lib/modules/2.4.20-4GB/kernel/drivers/usb/pwcx-i386.o >/dev/null 2>& 1 ||:
options pwc compression=0 dev_hint=1 fps=25 leds=250,250 mbufs=2 size=vga
4) and using the pwlib and openh323 versions that come with SuSE 8.2.
Cheers.
