I played a bit with gnome-font-properties, but results are the same:
letters can be modified but strange characters appear again and again.

I played a bit with gnomemeeting.mo too (under locale in gnome2), tryed 
to change to utf-18 but same result (i think that originally file is in 
utf-18), other programs work fine with utf-18.

Any help will be welcome here.
