Hi everyone,
This is a kind of progress report on the webcam and sound card conflict.
I played with the modules.conf file as following:

CONCLUSION: Only the video is working no sound.

CONCLUSION: It looks like both driver are loaded ... but
from that point . I got the sound working (can read a mp3!)
Now when setup gnomemeeting, I got the message:
"Error while opening video device Philips 680"
but ... wait this is not quiet true !!!!!!
I click (by chance) to the left webcam icon of GM and .... suprise, I 
get the video appearing  in addition to the sound, than I did 
"configuration druid"  and at the video test, I got the message "Failed 
to open the device - Error while opening Philips 680 webcam"

I turn off the video again (by clicking the webcam icon) and I was able 
to complete "configuration druid" to the end

CONCLUSION: apparently "configuration druid" faile the video test when 
this one is already on , Is it Normal.

So from now, with the given modules.conf given above , if I hotplug the 
webcam , I am  able to obtain  the sound and the  video (remember to 
select and unselect the video by clicking the left icon in GM)

Well , I still have the problem of the lack of loaded sound driver in 
the case of booting with the webcam already plugged

Any suggestion ?
