I think this is have many advantage. (Drop down lost is ok but I need insert a 
"default".
So I have a notebook. My Card is SiS SI7012.
It's a full duplex, because the OSS/ALSA not handle itt correctily.
So I need a virtual full duplex, for use this.
If you enable "default" I can setup the device for virtual full duplex 
in .asoundrc with asym plugin. And I can use gnomemeeting.

So my card (I think) full duplex because it's not work in alsa/oss with full 
duplex mode.

So this is the advantage. after that ANYbody can use gnomemeeting who have 
alsa full duplex/half duplex card (with arts,esd,gnomemeeting in same time)
