My question was if somebody is using firewire cameras with
kernel 2.6.x.

So far, it seems there is none, I guess.
BTW, I tried pwc based usb-cameras.  It seems that pwcx is
removed from the recent kernel already!  I can load pwcx, but
it does nothing.

Breakage of ieee1394 driver, removal of pwcx, ... oom...
