Only *you* will be able to call them, because your port listening for
incoming calls won't be reachable from the outside.
So the FAQ formulation is not really relevant :
"If you are using GnomeMeeting 1.2, and are calling a GnomeMeeting 1.2
user, only one of the 2 GnomeMeeting users needs to be configured to
go through NAT. The configured GnomeMeeting user will transparently
help the non-configured one to go through the NAT router. However, it
is recommended that both sides are configured."
The FAQ doesn't tell you will magically be able to receive incoming
calls, it just tells that the calls you will place will be able to go
through.
I understand. It is the word "call" that is ambiguous. Why not
explaining like it :
"If you are using GnomeMeeting 1.2, and are calling a GnomeMeeting 1.2
user, only one of the 2 GnomeMeeting users needs to be configured to go
through NAT. The configured GnomeMeeting user will transparently help
the non-configured one to go through the NAT router. However, the
non-configured GnomeMeeting user won't be able to receive calls, so it
is recommended that both sides are configured."
I'll rework that. Actually it is still ambiguous. You can receive calls
if one port is forwarded, without the need to configure the rest. A bit
hard to explain ;)
Ok !
Thanks for your great work !
