I'm not sure it is the default size.
What's the return value of this :
gconftool-2
-g /apps/gnomemeeting-snapshot/general/user_interface/address_book_window/size

(replace gnomemeeting-snapshot by gnomemeeting if required)

it is centered over gnomemeeting iirc.
