Check it in the preferences, audio devices, the name of the plugin. To
install it, download and install :)

I don't think timidity++ is the cause. Just check that arecord is
working (or not), if arecord is working, but not gnomemeeting, then your
soundcard is not full-duplex (which would be weird). If arecord doesn't
work, then either you have a configuration problem, or another program
is taking the soundcard and you will have to find out which one (lsof
can help in that case).
