I have no idea of the use of Arts or artsshell. It
came from default installation of FedoraCore3. I
suspect whether its removal will cause problem to
other applications. KMid also suffers from this
package complaining device being occupied such as
/dev/sequencer. However other application such
timidity++ is not affected.
Is there any way to stop it temporarily to check with
the problem in running Gnomemeeting as USER is caused
by its running. In case of complaint by other
applications, it can be restarted.
