That's not OK. Check the debug 4 output (ekiga -d 4 > output.txt 2>&1).
It could be a server problem (it is still BETA), but I don't think so.

Suggested means "other interesting packages in the same category".
Probably aptitude should not install suggested packages. For your
information, SER is what is installed on ekiga.net. So obviously, you do
not need it as it is server stuff.
