[GnomeMeeting-list] Logitech Quickcam Express -no joy

Hei all,

i got a log. qc express from a friend and i have the same problems,
not getting it work with ekiga like the mail from recently. 
Am a gentoo user with:

- gcc (GCC) 3.4.5 (Gentoo Hardened 3.4.5-r1...
- kernel: linux-2.6.16-gentoo

I tried these:
- install spca5xx and qc-usb.
modprobe spca5xx

- install qc-usb-messenger-1.2 
insmod quickcam.ko to the system 

Ekiga recognizes the component. 

if v4l2 then it shows /dev/v4l2/video0
if v4l  then it shows	QC Express..

But then again any time i click on the cam pic, it says something like
"The color palette of your cam is not supported with ekiga".

huh, now what to do?
