Judging from :

and from http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/G.711 (if you can read French),
g.711 is quite obsolete now. But it is still used for compatibility
purposes.
Anyway Ekiga has g.711 (see in the ekiga.org homepage). If I understand
correctly, that should be the PCMA and PCMU codecs (g.711 A-law and
g.711 µ-law).
