This question has been answered on 06/04/2006 under "Grey screen with
Philips PCVC720K/40 (ToUCamXS) USB webcam" as well as on 19/05/2006 under
"Ekiga problem with Logitech 4000 pro".
$> rmmod pwc; modprobe pwc compression=0
Or add "options pwc compression=0" to some config file under
/etc/modprobe.d/
No need for setpwc.
