In Gnumeric 0.68 I get:

Linux 2.2.17/Debian, potato, much of it updated to current testing and
unstable to make things work. Windowmaker.

Soundslike some stale guile libraries. try configuring with the
flag
    --without-guile

I've installed that gnumeric from a rpm converted to deb by alien, because
I couln't find a deb package.

I would need to download to much for me to be able to compile gnumeric
myself. The glib, gtk or some other libraries take many megabytes, and I
only have a 43 kbps link, through Motorola t260 GPRS.

What can I do?
I can dowload max 8 megabytes.
