RE: ranking tool in Excel



The function (is that the thing you wanted tested?) RANK returns 4 for the
descending case and 2 for the ascending case.
Numbers
1,1,5,3,2,0
rank
4,4,1,1,3,6
OT: Ranks can have fractional parts?  Jody, what was the go with being
accurate against compatible?

could somebody with access to Excel please find out which ranks its 
ranking tool assigns to: 1,1,5,3,2,0
I am especially interested in the rank of the 1s. (It seems that 
numeric currently claims they have rank 4 each,
while I think they should have rank 4.5. But we may want to be Excel 
compatible on this...)
