guile 1.5 and gnumeric

Hi,
Tried to compile gnumeric 0.76, 0.74, 0.72 and even 0.70 but all of them
need guile 1.5 that is not to be found anywhere, even on the official
Guile webpage.
Also the Gnumeric docs say that Guile is not required anymore, but
nevertheless configure insists to have it.
Anyone any idea ?
