European/Negative Date

Hello,

I encounter two problems when working with gnumeric:

1. How could I define european date formats ?

2. When doing calculations with negative time, there is a kind of
rollover effect. But I realy need negative times. Is there some kind of
workaround ?

e.g  the result of

start   end     should  have    
8:00    15:00   8:00    b2-b1   <== should be -1:00 instead of 23:00
