That was it. There are two versions of Abiword - one for gtk and one
for gnome. The link in /etc/alternatives pointed to the gtk-version,
which, of course, did not work. Now I can insert an Abiword object,
but can not type any text. But that's another problem. Choosing
formatting etc works fine, though.
