I was looking at souces and set DEFAULT_FONT to "Courier" in src/style.h but gnumeric ignores the change. I would like to know where is the font for menus defined?

Oh. That is a completely different setting. The fonts used in the
menus and toolbars are configured using the standard tools for Gtk+
and GNOME. The gnome control center has a font configuration tool
gnome-font-properties that you can run from the command line or the control center shell.

the problem is that my applications is not standard and I would like to hardcode it in gnumeric. Do you know where could this be done? gnome-font-properties didn't work for me I tried it but it seems to be ignoring it, I run the gnumeric application under chrooted environment and I send display to another X server, so I guess this is why it is not working.
