Let me be blunt. Graphing has been a massive pain. We've tried to
use existing technologies and been terribly unlucky. Bonobo was a
resource drain that never paid off, libguppi became unmaintained,

had 2 iterations of the damn framework with next to no knowledge
transfer between them.
I'm glad to see this from Jody. I never liked these blue sky "Once we
have interstellar travel [full object embedding system] we will be able
to go to Canada [working graphs] really easily" projects and I will
pledge what time I can to making sure Gnumeric delivers now that it's
on the right track.
Folks we need more hands here. 1.1.x has long been ready to freeze
and make the jump to being the next stable release, but until graphs
come into play we're locked out. If you have time, we have a
project.
I will try to build a current Gnumeric CVS this week and get back to
you, is this still at the planning stage, or is there code I should
look at already in CVS?
Nick.
