Problem opening file in 1.1.16

Hi

I had a file saved in the generic XML gnumeric format and at one point
when I was doing a Save As... I mistakenly choose the Experimental
Gnumeric XML format.  I am now unable to open the file.  I select the
file for opening and hit ok, but then the program just freezes.  Is
there anyway to convert the file back to the normal XML format?
