HEADERS/FOOTERS
(1) Is there a possibility of getting the path and filename as a
header/footer option?
Its pretty simple but will take a bit of tuning. We're actually
printing the path used to open the document now. So printing the
full name would take much work.
I'm not sure what you mean. Is it "pretty simple" or will it "take much
work"?
I've noticed at work that Office XP now has a &[path] field (ie. &[path]&[file]
now maps to the complete filename). This made it into the "What's New" features of
Excel which I think indicates that it was requested fairly often. Another addition
I noticed is the possibility to add an image to a header. If this is a large image it
fills the page as background underneath the sheet's contents. I imagine this is
intended to be used for corporate logos. I could imagine that rich text editing of
headers and footers would be useful on occasion as well (I could have used it a few
times).
One thing I didn't mention in the bug reports which I just thought of, is that this
would be another nice feature to share/be consistent with Abiword. Making headers and
footers is a very common occurrence and consistency and ease of use is very nice.
