scripting

Please put scripting functionality in as soon as possible.

Its absences precludes my being able to introduce it where I work and to 
other parties.  Because batch processing with scripts is neccessary to 
convert many propriatary spreadsheet formats and also to clean up [only 
 pull out currently relevant rows/columns etc) for current and future use.

I should think that this would be a major priority for you.

If you know of some other way I can do this without a scripting 
language, say perhaps a c or c++ program calling gnumeric functions with 
parameters that might be possible as well....

Please give me some feedback.
